It was  supposed to be a long  journey  to Pangasinan to  visit the  Sunflower farm but the notice  came too late so I decided to push thru  my plan to visit two sunflower  farms  in the province  of Quezon.  There are two sunflower farms in Quezon, one is in Tiaong and  in Candelaria about 30 minutes from Tiaong.   An entrance fee of  Php 100.00 and this fee goes to People with Disability (PWD).  Sunshine farm is located  in Tiaong  Quezon along national highway.

 Angel's  Sunflower Field

When I saw the  picture of my friend who visited   Angel’s Sunflower field in  Candelaria Quezon, I immediately  sent  a  private message  on how to get there since  she live in nearby town. I pack my bag and travel all the way from Manila and paid  visit  to  this farm.  The place is  along the  Eco Tourism road going to Lucena City and  on both  sides, a vast farm lands that gives beauty and justice to the farm itself. Friendly tricycle  drivers and people I met along the way.

Angel's Sunflower Field

The farm is less than a year old, If my memory serves me right this just open around January of this Year. Anyway, this farm is suited for those who love nature  and  planting, fruits, sunflower and or any other plants that gives  beauty   to the  environment. Entrance fee cost Php. 30.00.  I was able to talked to the  person in charge  of the  entrance  fee and  I have learned she  herself is a PWD  who were given  the opportunity to work in the farm,  due to Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS).  She is a former teacher in the town  of Candelaria Quezon.  A short conversation with her is  inspiring  indeed, she is one of the few I met with   true grit, positive mind and beautiful soul that life  is still fair despite of her  condition,  workers  on the other hand are happy, diligent  and proud of what they do, for them, farm works  is a GOD given opportunity  and  I definitely agreed with  what they  say and feel.

Meeting new  friends with Ms Emma Escano

The place  is   big   enough to take  tour and  selfie  or  even groupies, the land is maximize to its full potential, aside from sunflower, on the other side of the land, a watermelon and Japanese Cucumber are  planted,  in which  you can buy directly in the  farm  at affordable  price and it is all organic.  Upon entering, products locally from Quezon like pure   honey, native onions, local vinegar  from coconut and  pasalubongs and  of course  the  food, yes, like the  pancit habhab in which  is  originally  from Lucban and spread throughout   the  province  of Quezon.

Visitors  enjoy the   view and the nature

Vast farmland  in front and adjacent to Sunflower farm. hopefully   the  local government of  Candelaria  Quezon should pass a law  that will protect the farmlands  to be converted  to a subdivision, commercial place and or warehouse for business  purposes.

Kambingan sa BY PASS- For those of you who are goat meat lovers like caldereta and papaitan, then  you must drop in this place.  It is a  minute  ride from Angel's  farm via a tricycle. Both their caldereta and  Papaitan (bitter stew) are true mouth- watering, hey, do not take my word for it, try for yourself J
