We all do love coffee from Brewed to Americano to iced coffee, Ice caramel macchiato, and the whole nine yards about coffee with or without sugar and creamer. Coffee lovers have their reason why coffee and what coffee is all about, it is how they cope with long days at work, for some, it is as simple as relaxation, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Traditionally, coffee serves the purpose of enjoying the day and life itself, coffee means love and the definition of love itself.

Coffee shops exist on every corner of the street, from simple coffee vending machines at 7-11 stores across the country and everyone loves it including myself, and nothing beats the smell of rich aroma freshly brewed by the barista. Every reason why an individual loves coffee goes back to the time coffee was introduced to humanity, back in the day coffee was not as popular as today’s time.

Total coffee consumption in the Philippines from 2014/15 to 2020/21(in million 60kg bags) rose significantly, this reflects a long-term increase in coffee consumption over the years.(Philippines: coffee consumption 2021 | Statista).

Speaking of coffee's birthplace and the melting pot in the country, Lipa played an important role for coffee growers and lovers during the Spanish time. Yes, there are a lot of coffee shops in the area of Lipa from Starbucks to Café de Lipa, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and local coffee shops whose goal is to give  experience to local coffee lovers alike about coffee, life, that suits their mood, their story of their life, a love story of yesteryears, today and to infinity or a simple celebration of life itself, challenges and success. Different faces, different  chapters of life bonded together over a cup of coffee, one common language of love.

Kafénaman was born three months ago whose concept is not a typical coffee shop in the city, Coffee serves as a common commodity coupled with pastries as a perfect partner bit with a touch of friendship whose common goal is to build happiness and good vibe, an experience that lightly touches the heavy days in between.

From day one it was opened to the public, I have been going back and forth for a very simple reason: I love the place, vibe, and being at home as always, The rain never stops me from going back as my mind spun where the calmness of my souls suits my mood, my weariness dissipated as a sip my all-time favorite hot brewed coffee.

Conversation among friends and the people in the coffee shop is something I always cherished the most, reading their thoughts about life and their perception and hearing their voices genuinely smile as we sip  over a hot coffee. A  sumptuous meal served is  love per se.

A piece of cake and hot brewed coffee goes hand in hand. My comfort food.

    

 

Aside from hot brewed coffee, Lomi is my all time favorite, side  with a club house sandwich.

Good food brings people together, from all walks of life, they speak a common language called satisfaction and happiness at the end of the day.  The gastro satisfaction brings an endless happiness as bonded together, laughter and conversations echoed in the air, the true definition of what happiness and satisfaction is all about, the good vibe of the coffee shop and its pleasantry  of services from the  crew brings out the best of the place- customers, acquaintances and friends alike.

  

     

       

    The majority of the customers and passers-by, drop in the place to have a picture with Queenee and her mom, dine in and drink coffee, spend time after a long day of work, or simply experience the coffee and food that Kafénaman offers. The shop itself is still a baby and has a long way to go, curving its niche in the local market and into the business community is a challenge to face, head-to-head as it is slowly reaching its set goal at the end of the day.

Having said that, what do I love most about the place? The people I have known for more than a decade, their transparency, love, and consistency just like brewing a coffee – perfect timing,  no rush to bring out the flavor attuned to my expectation and taste, rich aroma taste that gives a kick in the morning, as caffeine fuels my day to keep going.
