Sunday and the Girl – A Shade of Summer

A lazy Sunday afternoon in the outskirts of the city, less than one hundred kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of urban jungle, lies the majestic beauty of Magdalena, where peace and fresh air alleviate my worries, where warm smiles and friendly gestures of the locals make me feel at ease. The adjacent town of Majayjay sets my inner peace and removes my fears, where time stops, and fresh air tells me to slow down and take time to smell the flowers. Sleepy town sits at the foot of Mount Banahaw, carefree, captivating, and majestic. Its beauty speaks to the main character and the subject of my photo shoot – Denisse, young, sweet, and gentle, her personality reflects the serenity of Majayjay, a kid at heart, bubbly, and smart.
She sits perfectly in the concept, her personality speaks for the output of my idea, and one thing is for sure: she can deliver the desired output. In experience, having a name like Denisse or Denise usually inherits stubbornness, rebelliousness, and a spoiled brat attitude, but the Denisse I met is the opposite of every adjective I have uttered; her personality is developed and conspired by heaven, and her demeanor is beyond reproach.
Not a model by herself, but a girl who dreams of being in front of the camera, just like every model I have met in years of being a hobbyist photographer.
Sunday and the Girl- A Shade of Summer is an ordinary day, an introduction of the main character, an exploration, experimentation, and execution that leads to exposure, a reality of what the subject has to offer in photography, to her herself as a whole.
a prelude, a series of stories unveiled, to what is boxed in a viewfinder, a composition, a physical storytelling. An inner mind speaks the vividness of the output framed in the collective.
